Jerry Jones Wants to Be Like Mark Cuban

Posted by SuckaFish

Chris Mortensen of the four-letter network is reporting that Jerry Jones has been fined at least $100,000 for speaking out about revenue sharing. Before the preseason game in Minnesota, Jones said the the other owners were “subsidizing this market,” and that revenue sharing is “on its way out.”

Roger Goodell had already issued a gag order preventing owners from talking about revenue sharing. The players union plans to use the model as leverage in the upcoming labor negotiations, claiming the owners biggest issue is amongst themselves, not with the salaries they pay the players.

Jones has issued a semi-apology that starts with, “If my comments in Minnesota were viewed as being over the line, then so be it.” There has been no confirmation of reports that if fined again Jones plans to lower the scoreboard at his new stadium to 50 feet above the field.
